Join Megan Barbour, Director of Advocacy and Government Relations at PHCA, for an in-depth dive into upcoming advocacy efforts to bring a more favorable operating environment for providers and frontline caregivers in Pennsylvania.
In recent years, PHCA has worked to change the narrative surrounding long-term care in both Harrisburg and Washington, D.C. Our successes, including the enactment of key legislative priorities and funding achievements, have been a testament to our robust grassroots advocacy.
This year, we remain focused on enacting sustainable reforms to address the systemic issues plaguing our sector, including addressing an arcane funding mechanism known as the Budget Adjustment Factor, or “BAF” by setting a floor on it and infusing the system with additional dollars, rebuilding the long-term care workforce, and exploring Medicaid authorization for assisted living. Throughout the next few months, our efforts will be focused in Harrisburg and Washington, D.C., as we advocate for these priorities and more.
This webinar will walk you through the key issues we are addressing, the legislative and executive branch relationships we are focused on, the advocacy process and how to best share our messages of support with your local legislators. No matter what we’re asking of the legislature, we must have well-established relationships to convey our message.
