HARRISBURG --- The Pennsylvania Health Care Association presented a Better Life Award to five members of the General Assembly and one staff person in recognition for their continued commitment to Pennsylvania’s seniors and their providers of care.
“Every day in Pennsylvania, more than 81,000 frail, elderly and disabled residents receive around-the-clock support for clinically complex medical conditions, while receiving high quality, compassionate care from many of the finest health care professionals in the nation,” said PHCA President and CEO W. Russell McDaid. “Our six Better Life Award winners represent those members of the General Assembly and key legislative staff members who demonstrated a strong commitment to Pennsylvania’s seniors and their providers of care during the 16-17 legislative session.”
The award recipients are:
- Senate President Pro Tempore Joseph B. Scarnati, III (R-25)
- Representative Seth Grove (R-196)
- Representative Warren E. Kampf (R-157)
- Representative Mark Mustio (R-44)
- Senator Elder A. Vogel, Jr. (R-47)
- Karen Coates, Chief of Staff, Representative Mark Turzai (R-28)
